Too flimsy

I have a HUGE foot, so finding skates that fit me are impossible! These fit perfectly and I love them!

Not very good quality. Made out of thin material and nose of boots is not strong and get loose easily.

These skates have no ankle support at all. They are impossible to tie tight and are not sturdy.

I wear a size 15 shoe and the size 14 skates fit perfectly. Their size guide saying to a skate size down from your shoe size is spot on. These skates are also much lighter than I expected them to be. A very pleasant bonus. The tongue is padded for good ankle comfort and the laces tie up nice and tight. For a recreational skater like me it’s nice to not have to rent skates or pay enormous amounts of money for a pair. I was lucky enough to get mine 25% off with the anniversary sale but big shoes has many sales quite often so the price can go down very easily. Overall if you’re looking for a pair of skates that look nice, aren’t too heavy, and will allow you to enjoy being on the ice then these are the skates you’re looking for. I know there is another pair of skates that big shoes sells that are a buckle clasp instead of lace up but I prefer the look and feel of lace up skates. Also these skates come sharpened and ready for the ice. The delivery was quick and tracking was very accurate.

CGX- 85 Ice Skates

Very happy with these Size 14 CGX-85 skates and with BigShoes fast delivery. Also, thanks to BigShoes for the larger sizes because the nation is getting taller on average. I use these CGX-85 skates for recreational skating and are perfect for that role (maybe more). Also, the CGX-85 skates are lighter and more comfortable than rental skates that usually only go up to Size 13 (if and when they are available).

Hard to find size 15 skates that aren’t $300+ These are great price for recreational use! ( skate rental’s usually only go up to mens 13)
